PASTOR ROBINSON

REVEREND DR. JASON LAWRENCE ROBINSON

Rev. Dr. Jason L. Robinson is a native of Boston, Mass. He is the youngest son of Rev. Joseph Jr. and Mrs. Lizzie M. Robinson. Rev. Dr. Robinson received his early education in the school system of Freeport, New York. He graduated from Niagara Catholic High School in Niagara Falls, New York. Upon graduation, he attended The Historic Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia. In 1997, Rev. Dr. Robinson graduated with departmental honors earning a BA in History and Political Science as well as a Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education. Rev. Dr. Robinson is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
 
On February 22, 1998, Rev. Dr. Robinson accepted his call to preach and was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Churches, 151st session of the New England Annual Conference in 2002. Rev. Dr. Robinson is a 2001 Graduate of Turner Theological Seminary at The Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, GA, where he received his Master of Divinity and a Master of Christian Education.
In May of 2005, Rev. Dr. Robinson became a Full Member Elder in the Baltimore Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church.
 
In 2016, Pastor Robinson led The Brooks Church Family through a successful $2.5 million building project. Also, in 2016 as well as in 2019, Pastor Robinson received the “Pastor of the Year” award from The Washington East District of the Baltimore Washington Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
 
Rev. Dr. Robinson is a 2020 Graduate of Drew University Theological School in Madison, NJ,  where he received his Doctorate of Ministry in Courageous Leadership.
 

Presently, Rev. Dr. Robinson serves on the Presidential Advisory Council at Virginia Union University. He is also the Senior Pastor of Brooks United Methodist Church in St. Leonard, MD. Pastor Robinson is married to the former Dr. JaMuir Michelle Johnson and they are the proud parents of Jaya Lauren and Jason Lawrence Robinson II.
